A good reliable backup
I used the eConnect Pocket WiFi mainly as a backup, as in Japan, the availability of free (or quasi-free) connections is very good (hotels, trains and railway stations, cafes and restaurants). But carrying that small box, I had a good, safe feeling. Highly recommending.
Battery life
The battery ran out quite quickly. The battery pack was cumbersome to use. The delivery & the posting of the device worked well. Overall the device suited well.

I arrived at the hotel and the portable Wi-Fi was already there... waiting for us... I traveled from Osaka to Tokyo, used it for 10 days, and it worked perfectly. The return process was very simple at Narita. There’s a red mailbox just before the international departures area where you can drop it off. An excellent experience.

Shipping & Delivery
Rental orders are typically delivered 1 to 2 days before your pick-up date. Choose your preferred pick-up location during checkout. A shipping confirmation email with tracking link will be sent when your order ships.
Pick up
Pick up at your desired location: airport, hotel, guest house, ryokan, post office or a private residence. Any address in Japan will do!
Return
We provide a prepaid return envelope with all the necessary information filled in. Just put all items in the envelope and drop it in any post box in Japan.

When your data usage reaches the total data allotment, the network operator may impose a speed restriction. While this results in significantly reduced speeds, your internet connection won't be cut off even under these restrictions.

Unless we are fully booked, extending your rental is definitely possible. The extension fee will be based on your initial daily rental rate. To request an extension, please email us with your order number.
