Convenient, fast, inexpensive
It was my first time in Japan, and I figured I'd need a connection for my phone's maps. Several companies offer Pocket Wi-Fi, but eConnect was the most convenient (you can pick up and return your Pocket Wi-Fi by mail). They offered the most convenient unlimited plan for two weeks. It was the most affordable. Pocket Wi-Fi was a constant companion during my trip, and the Power Bank allowed me to use the device for almost a day without recharging. The connection was practically uninterrupted. I used it to travel from Tokyo, through Kyoto, and dropped it off at Osaka Airport. I'll definitely get it again next time.
weak battery
The device’s range and signal are pretty good. I only encountered problems once (no internet signal at all in the centre Takayama). The device needed recharging two or three times per day (!) with the powerbank, which was anoying. Power bank itself had to be recharged every night, which was no problem.
Great service at a very good price.
It served its purpose and I will definitely check with them next time I need it. One thing I would want different - I wanted to extend the rental but could not find a way to do so.

Facile e pratico. Unica pecca la durata della batteria. Usandolo dalle 08,00 am verso le 14,00 pm bisognava collegare il powerbank. Riceve bene ovunque anche in luoghi lontani dalle grandi città.
Excellent
I arrived at the hotel and the portable Wi-Fi was already there... waiting for us... I traveled from Osaka to Tokyo, used it for 10 days, and it worked perfectly. The return process was very simple at Narita. There’s a red mailbox just before the international departures area where you can drop it off. An excellent experience.

How does Pick up & Return work?
Pick up
Pick up at your desired location: airport, hotel, guest house, ryokan, post office or a private residence. Any address in Japan will do!
Return
We provide a prepaid return envelope with all the necessary information filled in. All you have to do is put all the items in the envelope and drop it in a post box anywhere in Japan.

Q. Is it possible to extend my Pocket WiFi rental period?
Unless we are fully booked, extending your rental is definitely possible. The extension fee will be based on your initial daily rental rate. To request an extension, please email us with your order number.

- The connection speeds shown above are provided on best effort basis. Actual speeds vary depending on location and connection status.
- Network provider (Softbank) reserves the right to restrict the connection speed for those who have used significant amount of data in a short period of time (or for those whose network activities are considered as suspicious).
