Excellent
I arrived at the hotel and the portable Wi-Fi was already there... waiting for us... I traveled from Osaka to Tokyo, used it for 10 days, and it worked perfectly. The return process was very simple at Narita. There’s a red mailbox just before the international departures area where you can drop it off. An excellent experience.
Worked flawlessly
I used the pocket wifi on a recent trip to Japan for myself and the people I was with, since it was much cheaper than my carrier's international plan. It worked great throughout the trip! It provided the peace of mind of knowing I'd have access to WhatsApp and Google Maps throughout the trip.
Recommend Econnect wifi
The pocket wifi worked like dream and so reliable on our journey. We appreciated that the full wifi package was already there at the hotel when we arrived. We successfully set up the pocket wifi device by also using the ‘google translate’ app on my iPhone needing to translate the options on the device into English. I chose Econnect based on a review comparing various Japanese pocket wifi companies on YouTube before coming to Japan.

It was very convenient to: 1. Rent the device from their website. 2. Receive the device directly at the hotel. 3. Return the device And it easy to use and the connectivity was good. We traveled to Hakone and the service still very good.

How does Pick up & Return work?
Pick up
Pick up at your desired location: airport, hotel, guest house, ryokan, post office or a private residence. Any address in Japan will do!
Return
We provide a prepaid return envelope with all the necessary information filled in. All you have to do is put all the items in the envelope and drop it in a post box anywhere in Japan.

Q. Is it possible to extend my Pocket WiFi rental period?
Unless we are fully booked, extending your rental is definitely possible. The extension fee will be based on your initial daily rental rate. To request an extension, please email us with your order number.

- The connection speeds shown above are provided on best effort basis. Actual speeds vary depending on location and connection status.
- Network provider (Softbank) reserves the right to restrict the connection speed for those who have used significant amount of data in a short period of time (or for those whose network activities are considered as suspicious).
