Great way to keep connected

eConnect is a great pocket wifi option and a lot more affordable than other providers. We used it for 17 days, 2 users, for Google maps and translate mostly and 50GB was ample. We used hotel free wifi at nights so it was only used during the day. 2 negatives. 1. When in Tokyo and using maps constantly, we sometimes had to recharge it twice during the day. Not too much of an inconvenience though as a powerbank is supplied. 2. It kept losing connection if it wasn't active. No idea why. Whether it was some kind of sleep mode? That was a bit annoying having to fish through the backpack to find it each time. Overall, great value for money if your phone doesn't support an eSim.

Wi Fi in Japan

Excellent service in that the pocket wifi was delivered to hotel before my arrival and the self addressed envelope made returning the item easy. The device worked well and provided good reception. You do need to watch that you have the provided battery charged and with you as it can run out by the evening if out all day. If you dont want to get a sim card this is a good option or a good backup.

Efficient WiFi Provision

Does what it is supposed to do, in a very efficient and reliable manner. Powerbank comes handy if time spans over eight hours shall be covered (approximately).

Worked like a charm!

The pocket wifi unit worked very well for our 3 week trip to Japan. Never had any issues, didn't have any signal issues and the spare battery pack was helpful. Would use again when returning to Japan. Thanks.

How does Pick up & Return work?

Pick up

Pick up at your desired location: airport, hotel, guest house, ryokan, post office or a private residence. Any address in Japan will do!

Return

We provide a prepaid return envelope with all the necessary information filled in. All you have to do is put all the items in the envelope and drop it in a post box anywhere in Japan.
