Perfect Way To Stay Online Whilst Traveling
Using eConnect's Pocket WiFi was the perfect way for my wife and I stay online and in-touch whilst we travelled Japan for 2 weeks. Using Pocket WiFi allowed us to venture around together or by ourselves and have access to apps like WhatsApp or Messenger to stay in touch with each other or family back, as well as use Google Maps to help navigate the cities and the train system with ease. How does Pick up & Return work?
Pick up
Pick up at your desired location: airport, hotel, guest house, ryokan, post office or a private residence. Any address in Japan will do!
Return
We provide a prepaid return envelope with all the necessary information filled in. All you have to do is put all the items in the envelope and drop it in a post box anywhere in Japan.

Q. What happens if I use up 50GB?
When your data usage reaches the total data allotment, the network operator may impose a speed restriction. While this results in significantly reduced speeds, your internet connection won’t be cut off even under these restrictions.
Q. Can I purchase more data if needed?
Adding more data might be feasible, depending on our data pooling availability. Please email us with the specific amount of data (GB) you’d like to add, and we'll verify if we can fulfill your request.
Q. How many devices can a Pocket WiFi connect simultaneously?
Our Pocket WiFi devices can connect up to 10 devices at the same time. This means an entire family, or an individual with multiple devices (laptop, tablet, game console, etc.) can all connect their devices to a single device.
Q. Is it possible to extend my Pocket WiFi rental period?
Unless we are fully booked, extending your rental is definitely possible. The extension fee will be based on your initial daily rental rate. To request an extension, please email us with your order number.
Precautions before using Pocket WiFi
- The connection speeds shown above are provided on best effort basis. Actual speeds vary depending on location and connection status.
- Network provider (Softbank) reserves the right to restrict the connection speed for those who have used significant amount of data in a short period of time (or for those whose network activities are considered as suspicious).
- Your device must be WiFi enabled.
