Good service and convenient.

Will recommend this pocket not only because the price, the pick up and trop off in airports is super convenient, good coverage (never went down on us) in Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto. Free power banks is a plus. Good solution for a group of travelers.

Good WiFi

The pocket WiFi works well, speed is good. The included power bank is often needed though, since the battery in the unit itself only lasts a few hours. Pricing is great. The post office collection and return works, but it is a bit harder to figure out than all the vendors with dedicated presence at the airport (but that might also be why eConnect is cheaper than those).

Reliable Internet Connection

I ordered the portable internet device through the website, paid in advance, and had it delivered to my hotel in Tokyo upon arrival. It came with an extra battery that I used to recharge both the device and my phone. It was very reliable and compact—easy to carry in a purse or small bag.

How does Pick up & Return work?

Pick up

Pick up at your desired location: airport, hotel, guest house, ryokan, post office or a private residence. Any address in Japan will do!

Return

We provide a prepaid return envelope with all the necessary information filled in. All you have to do is put all the items in the envelope and drop it in a post box anywhere in Japan.

• The connection speeds shown above are provided on best effort basis. Actual speeds vary depending on location and connection status.
• Network provider (Softbank) reserves the right to restrict the connection speed for those who have used significant amount of data in a short period of time (or for those whose network activities are considered as suspicious).
